These instruments focus on playability, ease of use and easy‑to‑grasp real‑time controls (notably on the bass guitars) to introduce characteristic artifacts that help to identify the instruments as being 'real'. Thomas Hansen Scarbye's Kontakt‑hosted 'Scarbee' products are well‑known for their highly realistic‑sounding virtual recreations of vintage electromechanical keyboards and electric basses. The main screen, displaying the currently loaded chord and groove maps. If anyone else has found any plug-ins that were decent, I would like to know as well.If you've ever fantasised about playing guitar like Nile Rogers - and who hasn't - Scarbee's latest instrument could make all your dreams come true. So that's what I found, I use these all the time since I made guitar-based music before, with these plug-ins I was able to keep making music in a similar style. Really high quality samples, and a wide variety of patterns. They have both 12 string and 6 string samples for acoustic, and a Les Paul for the electric. Native Instruments Session Guitarist/Electric Sunburst: These are Kontakt libraries, they sound great. They sound really good, I feel like they're kind of limited on patterns, but there's a lot of mixing presets and variations.

UJam: they make acoustic, indie rock and hard rock guitar sample plug-ins. These also have strumming patterns and to work for some funky stuff or more acoustic style guitar playing. Orange Tree Samples: These are kontakt libraries, they have a variety of acoustic and electric guitars, they work well for melodies, but they do have strumming patterns built-in, and they can sound pretty good.Īmple Sound: They have a lot of instrument sampled, and they are stand alone plug-ins. Unfortunately the sound libraries they use are not great in my opinion, but you can always play the MIDI files with another guitar instrument. May work well towards the funky side of things. MusicLab RealGuitar/Strat/LPC (etc): This is a good plug-in to map out your song, and they have some strumming and finger picked patterns built-in that are pretty good. I was a guitar player, but I injured my hands and can no longer play, so I use these primarily for chords when making music. I've tried a bunch of guitar strumming plug-ins, and there are a lot of really good ones.
